Welcome to Schaer Talents!
My name is Jaclyn Schaer, and I am a mother to 2 beautiful daughters (2 and a 1 month old) and a wife to a wonderful husband. My goal in starting this blog is to show you what I love to do and to share with you a little piece of my life. I am originally from California, moved to Georgia for 4 years and now back in CA.
At a young age I was always an arts and crafts kind a girl and knew I wanted a career in that field. I have been drawing ever since I could and I learned to crochet in High School. I have done odd jobs here and there, drawing portraits, painting murals and learning a new skill, photography.
One day I was looking at Etsy.com and I saw all these way cute crocheted hats and I thought well I can do that. So I decided to crochet a hat for my daughter, little did I know that all my friends wanted one for their child or needed a baby shower gift for a friend. So here I am, working on opening my own store on Etsy.com
You see I love anything from crochet to Art to photography. I am finally starting my dream of doing what I love. I hope you enjoy my work.
I am currently apart of promoting other's businesses and in turn they promote mine. The first business I am promoting is "Unrefined by Lindsay" She makes body products such as sugar scrubs and lip balms along with these adorable photo blocks that she puts pictures of your choosing on. Please visit her sites and tell her Schaer Talents sent you! https://www.facebook.com/pages/Unrefined/234980203233047 http://www.etsy.com/shop/unrefinedlindsay Gifts starting at $8 plus use the coupon code FANS25OFF at her esty shop and you will get an extra 25% off today!!!
So I came across this blog http://amorningcupofjo.blogspot.com/2011/04/limbs-or-no-limbs.html and found these adorable bunnies! I made one for my oldest daughter for Christmas. It was interesting trying to piece it together without a pattern but then again I don't really use patterns anyway. These are more intricate and time consuming, so for this size which is 14 1/2 inches tall it would be $35 plus shipping.
It is stuffed with a polyester stuffing. Only the hands and feet are stuffed. The arms and legs are left empty for better movement.Tell me what you think. I am in the process of making a monkey for my youngest daughter as well.
The photo contest starts today and will go until midnight on Sunday! Just post a photo of you or your little one wearing the hat you purchased on my Facebook page. I will choose a winner and they will receive $5.00 off and free shipping on their next purchase! Good Luck!
