Monkey!

Monkey time! I love making these crochet animals but they do take a lot of time. 

For the tail I put in a pipe cleaner and then crochet around it to give the tail a nice curl. 

My first crochet animal.

and found these adorable bunnies! I made one for my oldest daughter for Christmas. It was interesting trying to piece it together without a pattern but then again I don't really use patterns anyway. These are more intricate and time consuming, so for this size which is 14 1/2 inches tall it would be $35 plus shipping.


 It is stuffed with a polyester stuffing. Only the hands and feet are stuffed. The arms and legs are left empty for better movement. Tell me what you think. I am in the process of making a monkey for my youngest daughter as well.

So much more than just a radio show

The Bert show is a radio station I listened to in Atlanta. They challenged us as a community to send a thank you letter to all 400,000 soldiers for Thanksgiving morning. It's called the big thank you. Well guess how many letters were received, and who called in to give their thanks.....I'll give you a hint....they live in the white house! I love this radio station! They are truly amazing!

Not enough time!

Well between having my 4 children under the age of 3, cleaning the house and trying to run my own business, I think I have reached my limit. I find myself giving away more of my hats than I'm selling. I love doing giveaways but I love selling more :) I have quite a lot of guilt because I spend all my free time crocheting and checking the computer instead of spending time with my 2 precious girls and my husband. As much as I love to crochet my family is more important to me. So I will be putting on the breaks a little. I WILL STILL be taking some custom orders and posting to my Etsy store, the only difference is I will not participate in anymore giveaways (other than my own) and I will not be making as many hats, just for right now. I love all my fan's and am very grateful for you! I hope you can understand and I hope to be up to full speed soon. I will still be doing my own giveaway for my awesome fans. More info to come.
